What is a link insertion?

A link insertion adds your link to an article that is already published on a relevant website. Nothing new is written from scratch: the publisher edits an existing sentence—or adds a short one—so the article can point readers to your page.

That’s why link insertion services are often called niche edits. Done well, they produce contextual backlinks inside content that already matches your topic.

The test is simple: would a reader of this article find your page useful at this exact point? If not, the link doesn’t belong there.

— How we review every insertion

Relevance first

How we judge whether a link improves the article

  • Is the topic a match?

The article should discuss the problem your page solves—not just share a keyword.

  • Does it help the reader?

Your page should add a definition, a tool, data or a next step the article doesn’t cover.

  • Does the sentence read naturally?

Anchor and surrounding words must flow; no forced exact-match phrases.

Selection criteria

Checks before any article is proposed

  • Article topic

Closely related to your target page and audience.

  • Site quality

Real editorial content and a credible publishing history.

  • Existing content

The article is substantial, current enough and not overloaded with links.

  • Link context

A natural place exists for the link within the text.

  • Indexability check

The page is checked to be indexable (no noindex, not blocked) at the time of review. This doesn’t guarantee future indexing.

Example

Before and after a natural link insertion

A simplified, illustrative example. Real placements follow the publisher’s own editing.

BeforeExample

Remote teams lose hours every week to status meetings. A shared board where tasks, owners and deadlines are visible to everyone removes most of that back-and-forth.

AfterExample

Remote teams lose hours every week to status meetings. A shared board where tasks, owners and deadlines are visible to everyone—like a kanban-style project tracker—removes most of that back-and-forth.

  • 1 Anchor describes the destination
  • 2 Placed where the reader needs an example
  • 3 Sentence still reads naturally

FAQ

Link insertion questions

Are link insertions the same as niche edits?

Yes—both terms describe adding a link to an existing article. “Contextual backlinks” describes the result: a link inside relevant body text.

Will the article rank or get traffic?

Some articles already receive traffic and some don’t. We review the page and its site before proposing it, but we don’t claim every existing article has traffic or that the link will make you rank faster.

Is indexing guaranteed?

No. We check that the page is indexable when we review it, but search engines decide what to index.

Can I choose the exact article?

Yes. In your order you provide the existing article URL on the publisher’s domain, or ask us to suggest options.

Is a link insertion cheaper than a guest post?

Prices are set per publisher and shown in the marketplace for each placement type, so you can compare directly.
