Guest post guidelines FAQ
What does the Guest Post Guidelines Analyzer do?
It reads a publisher’s “Write for us” or contributor page and pulls out the rules link builders usually copy by hand: word count, how many links are allowed, whether links are dofollow, AI-content policy, pitch or full draft, how to submit, topics, images and response time. Every value shows the sentence it came from.
What is a typical guest post word count?
It varies by publisher. Many ask for roughly 800 to 1,500 words, and some editorial sites ask for 2,000 words or more. Always follow the number on the publisher’s own page — that is what this tool extracts.
How many links do publishers usually allow in a guest post?
Many allow one or two links to your own site in the body, sometimes plus one link in the author bio. Some allow no promotional links at all, or ask that links do not appear in the first paragraph. The analyzer reports the exact rule and its source sentence.
How do I know if a guest post link will be dofollow?
Only the publisher can decide. If their guidelines say links are nofollow or marked sponsored, the analyzer flags it. If nothing is stated, it shows “Not stated” — ask the editor before you write. After publishing, check the live link with our free Backlink Checker.
Are paid guest posts against Google’s guidelines?
Google asks that links in paid or sponsored content are qualified with rel="sponsored" (or nofollow). The analyzer flags pages that mention fees or sponsored posts so you know what you are agreeing to.
Why can’t the tool read some pages, and do you store my data?
Some websites block automated visitors or require a login; the tool then tells you the site refused the request. Results are cached for a few minutes to keep the tool fast; we do not store the pages you analyze in our database.
